About VirtuTest
Built by People in the Skating Community
VirtuTest is an independent virtual testing platform from Virtu Skate LLC, built by people with direct experience in figure skating, software engineering, and cybersecurity. Virtu Skate is not affiliated with or endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, but we built VirtuTest to support the real workflows used by clubs, test chairs, judges, coaches, skaters, and parents.

Skating Operations Experience
VirtuTest is shaped with input from people who understand figure skating tests, coaching, club operations, and the practical back-and-forth between test chairs, judges, coaches, skaters, and families.
Security-Minded Engineering
The platform is built with software engineering and cybersecurity experience, with attention to role-based access, encrypted traffic, secure media handling, and limited retention for sensitive test materials.
Parent and Club Perspective
VirtuTest is also informed by the parent side of skating: submitting paperwork, managing videos, tracking results, and needing a workflow that is clear, respectful of minors, and practical for busy clubs.
Our Approach to Trust
Virtual testing involves sensitive materials, including skater videos, minors’ information, club workflows, and judge participation. VirtuTest is designed around identity verification, limited access, encrypted communication, and limited video retention.
- Identity verification: Judges and coaches are asked to provide their USFS membership number. VirtuTest uses that information, together with USFS member-accessible directory information, to help verify participant identity, role, and eligibility before they participate in platform workflows.
- Video handling: Skater videos are access-controlled and used only for the testing workflow. Our standard retention practice is to delete videos 30 days after a test reaches finished status.
- Platform security: VirtuTest uses encrypted traffic, secure media storage, and role-based access so users see only the information relevant to their role.
Our Mission
We take the headache out of virtual testing. VirtuTest gives clubs, test chairs, judges, coaches, skaters, and parents one secure workflow to upload videos, submit paperwork, assign judges, complete reviews, receive scores, and manage test records.
A core goal of VirtuTest is to make virtual testing more accessible to clubs that do not have the time, staff, or technical infrastructure to run a full virtual testing workflow on their own.
